Sometimes I find myself giving the same explanation of a programming concept to different people, at different times. I always liked Martin Fowler's rule about when to refactor (three strikes & you refactor). So, I'm going to use it as a rule-of-thumb for content here on Footnotes. Three strikes & I blog.
